Bon voyage Johnny!

Dyce has officially bid farewell to Johnny Brophy, who is returning to New Zealand after five years of dedicated service.

Since joining the club in 2019, Brophy has been a consistent presence and served as vice-captain, playing a pivotal leadership role. His final game, played last Saturday against Fraserburgh, was a fitting send-off for the player who has been a stalwart in the team with more than 40 appearances.

As a thank you for his contributions, Johnny was presented with the number 15 jersey after the match, a symbol of his importance to the squad. He made the jersey his own during his time at Dyce, consistently excelling in the fullback position. His leadership, both as a player and vice-captain, has been a cornerstone of the team’s success, and his absence will be deeply felt by teammates, coaches, and club members alike.

The club extends its heartfelt gratitude and appreciation.

As Dyce RFC moves forward without one of its most trusted leaders, the club remains optimistic for the season ahead and know that Johnny will be following our progress from the other side of the globe.

All the best for the future Johnny!
